An afforestation programme that aims to develop a respect for the environment among young children and encourage them to plant more trees by incentivising them with rewards.

Grow with a tree is an afforestation program organised and launched by Mrinalini under the banner of Panthalassa. Grow with a tree not only hopes to plant more tree but also hopes to create a community of young children who respect the environment. By organising the program in the form of a competition, the program aims at providing incentives to children for ensuring the successful plantation and then growth of the tree. Young school going children are each given a sapling of a tree which bears edible fruits, and are educated over its benefits and contributions to mankind; over a fixed period local authority judge every participant’s sapling and reward the children Rs 2,000 based on the condition of the plants. At the moment Grow With A Tree has ensured the plantation and growth of over a 1,000 trees in rural India.
